Catellani & Smith is a lighting manufacturer founded in 1989 by Enzo Catellani. His first lamps were included in the catalogue "Oggetti senza Tempo".
The lamps are still built by hand in Italy, in workshops on the Serio river, with the time needed devoted to each lamp. The company's collections include Fil de Fer, Lucenera, Stchu-Moon and Luci d'Oro. Its lamps have been installed in venues such as the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Schloss Elmau hotel in the Bavarian Alps.
The company also creates installations and prototypes. Some of these entered limited series production in 2002 through the Out Collection.
