About the manufacturer

Louis De Poortere is a family-owned company that has made machine woven carpets and rugs since its debut in 1929. Its products are made in Belgium and combine traditional Wilton weaving with modern Jacquard flatweave. Now in its fourth generation of family ownership, the company offers rugs, carpets, stair runners and border rugs.

In 2023 it introduced Ecorugs, made from recycled polyester yarn reclaimed through its Take Care Program. The company is also working towards ISO 9001 certification and has set a quality policy covering ecological transition, business sustainability and communication.
