How it is calculated
Gross quantity = net quantity × (1 + reserve %). Straight laying wastes about 10%, diagonal and herringbone about 15% because of corner offcuts.
Packs = gross quantity ÷ pack coverage, rounded up — you cannot buy 7.3 boxes.
Material sold by the metre without packs is not rounded: 20.5 m stays 20.5 m.
Keep 1–2 packs from the same batch for repairs — tile and laminate shades differ between batches.
