Soriana is an iconic chair designed in 1969 by Afra and Tobia Scarpa and awarded a Compasso d'Oro at the time. Cassina is pleased to bring us back from its archives an environmentally conscious version using eco-friendly materials thanks to the work done by the Cassina Lab. In fact, all models can be upholstered in 100 percent recycled PET.Soriana is soft, abundant lines with a generous upholstery secured by a large metal clamp. Soft pleats and sinuous curves are enhanced by stitching made with great craftsmanship. The Soriana series is available as an armchair, chaise-longue, two- or three-seater sofa and pouf.Thanks to Cassina's Research and Development Center and Poli.design of the Milan Polytechnic, the comfort level has tripled and the original polyurethane structure has been completely replaced by a series of pockets filled with BioFoam microspheres, a patented foam with an organic base, while the seat has a blown fiber padding made from 100 percent recycled PET from Plastic Bank.
