Description

The Altaj interior door by Lualdi, designed by SBGA, goes beyond the conventional concept of a flush-to-wall door. Rather than disappearing into the wall, the door is deliberately emphasized by a metal profile that frames the leaf and highlights its surface finish, turning the opening into a precise architectural feature.Thanks to its structural lightness, Altaj lends itself to being clad in a variety of refined materials, from wood to leather, allowing a high degree of material customization. The pivot opening system and the aluminum frame enhance the perception of continuity and balance, while selected finishes such as bi-color Chocolat wood textures and woven leather coverings underline the sartorial character of the project.From a technical perspective, Altaj features a hinged hollow-core leaf with a thickness of 65 mm, framed by a perimeter aluminum edge. The leaf can be reduced by up to 4 mm on each side to accommodate different surface claddings. The door is supplied complete with magnetic lock, concealed pivot hinges, and perimeter gasket on three sides. The anodized aluminum frame is preassembled and designed to be built into the wall without the use of a subframe.
