6. Tasks and Automatic Prompts
Why. No need to keep track of what to do next: the system automatically creates tasks as the project progresses.
How to do it.
- Project → "Timeline" → "Mode" switch: "Board" (tasks by status, drag and drop) or "Timeline" (on a Gantt chart). New task — "Add task".
- The deadline can be set by date or in working days from today.
- Task from an item: row → "Add task", or in bulk for selected items (section 3.3).
What tasks the system creates automatically: approve item, order, request invoice, pay invoice by ..., pay remaining balance, issue invoice to client (accountant), request commission from supplier, take measurements, accept item at site, request delivery date, request new delivery date.
Good to know.
- Tasks are assigned to responsible parties from project settings. Tasks without an assignee are visible in "Unassigned tasks" on the main page, and can be "Assign"ed.
- When a step is completed (e.g., item ordered), the task closes automatically.
